I would say physical and mental attributes both from D9 mostly - as just D1 you have 2.5 hour window and many people are born in that time. It is good to look at both D1 and D9 in tandem and decide everything - physical and Mental characteristics.

However for impotency, if A3 and A9 are in 2/12 or 6/8 from Sun β then impotency could be there. Similar A3 and A9 arudhas calculated from Sun (Surya Arudhas) should be checked from Sun β again should not be in 6/8 or 2/12. If all Padas as calculated above are bad as described above, causes impotency.
