The Rahu period follows the Mars period and precedes the Jupiter period.
Like any other planet, Rahu manifests itself in different ways in different charts and, accordingly, its period will proceed in different ways for different people.
It is very important in which house Rahu is located (he is good in the 3rd, 6th, 11th – sometimes even in the 10th), how strong his dispositor, the owner of his nakshatra, is important his connection with other planets through connections, aspects and Navamsa.
However, there are general trends to be expected during the main Rahu period.
These tendencies are associated with the natural qualities of Rahu, that is, his karaka was – natural meanings.
Old stereotypes are broken, and a person finds himself in a completely new situation since Rahu is a symbol of everything new.
This is difficult for many people, especially people of the conservative type, who do not like anything new, and if the new circumstances are not so favourable.
Sometimes a person during this period loses everything that he had and he has to start all over again.
The first 6 months of the Rahu period can be especially difficult because a person has to adapt to new and rapidly changing circumstances.
This period usually gives rise to misunderstandings with loved ones or workers, promotes all kinds of upheavals, the manifestation of a rebellious spirit, the loss or acquisition of social status, the acquisition of mystical experience and extremes in indulging the senses.
The changes that occur during this period can push a person to any path, true or false, depending on other indicators of the horoscope.
You can understand how the next 18 years of life will pass by what happens in the first two years of this period (maha-dasha Rahu / Antar-dasha with Rahu).
In general, we can say that this is a somewhat adventurous period that forces a person to explore new areas of life and helps to end old stereotypes.
This is a period that makes a person look for something new outside, filling a person with new expectations.
It gives a lot of new experience, as a person is ready to embark on a new unknown path.
This is the time when the forbidden fruit seems especially sweet and desirable.
During this period, the native is prone to immoral and criminal acts, because Rahu makes it difficult to control the senses and pushes a person to gain new sensory experience.
Rahu does not know the sense of proportion, and therefore he inclines the native to uncontrolled expansion, depending on the position in the chart.
As a rule, during this period some foreign element appears in a person’s life. This can manifest itself on a personal or professional level.
Everything foreign becomes especially attractive to a person, and he either wins or suffers from this, depending on the position of Rahu in the chart.
In any case, this is for the good, because a person learns from this experience. The end of the influence of this foreign element usually occurs in the sub-period of Saturn, since Saturn is a symbol of native traditions.
The Rahu period reveals deep-rooted desires to a person, which may or may not correspond to the true path, depending on the general inclination of the card.
These desires, as a rule, are very strong and unquenchable, which corresponds to the base nature of Rahu.
During this period, there is a tendency to abuse all types of intoxications. If the Rahu period falls during childhood and adolescence, this can make the native almost uncontrollable.
Also in his youth, Rahu interferes with studies, because the strengthening of material desires under the influence of the Rahu period can create many obstacles in the mind and interfere with the assimilation of knowledge.
During this period, a person can gain fame, fortune and material prosperity. But if a person tries during this period to unrestrainedly spread his influence everywhere, this can lead to a fall.
These material goods most likely come in the sub-periods of Jupiter, Saturn, Mercury and Venus. The Rahu-Mercury and Rahu-Venus periods are especially suitable for this because Mercury and Venus are the bearers of material wealth and close friends of Rahu.
This is more likely if Mercury and Venus are strong and beneficial in the horoscope.
The Rahu-Lunar period can also give good results if the Moon is strong, growing and in good relations with Rahu in the natal chart.
It is very important to take into account the relationship of Rahu with the planets – the owners of the sub-periods. If they are in the 6th, 8th, 12th houses from the house of Rahu, a person will experience some difficulties.
However, it must be remembered that these houses can give good results if the planets are strong in them.
The same results can be observed if the host planets of the subperiods are the governors of the 6th, 8th or 12th houses from Rahu.
If the planets are in the 2nd and 7th houses from Rahu, during the sub-periods of these planets, the native can expect material benefits, but there is a danger of a sudden accident or even death if other factors in the horoscope also indicate this.
Similar results can come if the host planets of the subperiods are the lords of the 2nd and 7th houses from Rahu. It is also important to understand the position of the dispositor of Rahu.
Rahu, being a shadow planet, reflects the results of the lord of the sign-in which Rahu is located.
If this planet is strongly located on the chart, Rahu will give better results.
If the dispositor is in harmony with Rahu, being in trine from him, in the sub-period of this planet in the main period of Rahu, good results can be expected.
If the dispositor is in the 6th, 8th or 12th houses from Rahu, then difficulties and upheavals can be expected in the depositor’s sub-period.
It is important to assess the position of the Rahu house. Rahu is especially strong when it is associated with important points in the horoscope such as the Ascendant and the 10th house.
Like any harmful planet, Rahu is just as strong in the 3rd, 6th and 11th houses.
Usually, Rahu bears fruit by the nature of the house.
It is also important to assess the position of Rahu in the sign.
Rahu gives good material results in Taurus, Gemini, Virgo.
In Scorpio, Sagittarius, Aquarius and Pisces, he is more inclined to give spiritual results – if there are other indicators in the chart indicating this.
Rahu period analysis example
Let’s analyze the Rahu period.
In a chart, Rahu is in the 11th house, in Pisces, in the Purva-Bhadra-pada nakshatra (Jupiter), aspects the Sun in the 3rd and Mars in the 7th.
Rahu himself exchanges aspects with Jupiter.
It lasted from 1987 to 2005.
Since Rahu is in the sign and nakshatra of Jupiter and takes the 7th aspect from him, spirituality manifested itself during this period, which was a completely new topic for the native.
On the other hand, the native could not overcome the smoking habit during this period, which is typical of the influence of Rahu.
During this period, the native was quite happy, because
Venus is in the 4th from Rahu and aspects the 10th from Rahu.
The moon in the 3rd from Rahu manifested itself in the fact that the native often took part in the filming and was a recognizable face on TV.
In D-9, Rahu is in the Cancer Navamsha, which falls into the 3rd house in D-1, and therefore the sphere of communications, participation in the media during this period is also confirmed by this factor.
The aspect of Rahu on the 3rd house says the same thing.
The aspect of Rahu on the Sun enhances ego and self-conceit during this period.
But finances came to him slowly.
Saturn is located in the 2nd from Rahu.
Numerous attempts to get married during this period were unsuccessful, because despite Jupiter in the 7th from Rahu, Ketu is also there, and Rahu himself aspects Mars in the 7th house, complicating relation.
Surya and Chandra expose the deception of the demon Svarbhanu, who, after cutting off his head, turns into Rahu and Ketu …

First house is the most magical house in Hindu Astrology. Your individuality has to do with the Sign and Planets which are occupying the first house of your Birth Chart. As a general scenario, where there are more than 2 planets in the first house you’ll notice below mentioned things.
Aries/Scorpio Ascendant – having 3 planets or more
Aries/Scorpio lord is Mars, people born with Aries/Scorpio ascendant with Multiple planets are the people who listen to anyone’s advice and take charge of all situations around them. However, the moment they realize that the path they have chosen is not going to yield any results, they are the first ones to back out and start conquering a different task in no time. Aries/Scorpio Ascendant with multiple planets face problems with their siblings till the time they are together in a house. They are very frequent in changing jobs (not career) and very quick with decision making.
Taurus/Libra Ascendant – having 3 planets or more
Taurus/Libra lord is Venus, they are more of thinkers and idea generators. Mostly the people with anxiety and blood pressure issues. You are never short of Bows in their quiver(always have a reply to the argument). Even though, you have many ideas you are never about implementing them on time. You always face problems with which way to go in terms of career, studies and business.
Leo – having 3 planets or more
You are well skilled and master of many arts and techniques. You are well versed with skills that are essential to maintain a comfortable lifestyle. You are consulted by your friends and family for the acquired knowledge over the period of time. However, you fall short of luck when it comes to achieving your goals at once. You will have to work harder than others to get the same amount of work done. You are intelligent but luck is always a problem with you.
Cancer – having 3 planets or more
Depend upon the conjunction of the planets in the first house and another aspect, the Moon is the lord of Cancer which means you are a well-organized person but the situations which arise in your life wouldn’t let you enjoy the love and money you are blessed with. You will always have unnecessary trouble coming into your life which only would add the mental stress and feeling of loneliness at times.
The above are the general observations and specific reading can only be told by looking at the type of conjunction one’s chart has aspects on the first house etc.

Sloka
are out of context words spoken by Lord Shiva in the ‘Shri Padma Purana’ Uttara Khanda during a conversation with Devi Parvati Devi.
There are 4 versions of ‘Sri Vishnu-SahasraNama’ – they are all very different both in meaning and in complexity.
It is not necessary, it is your own will. However, it would undoubtedly be helpful if someone chanted the names of God. Physically, mentally and spiritually chanting the names of God with love and devotion will undoubtedly help a person to attain the Supreme Truth. From the point of view of a bhakta, God is pleased with the one who chants His name daily, thus He liberates Him. From the other point of view, one who repeats the names of God daily identifies Himself with God and therefore ultimately sees His True Nature. The perspective of karma – chanting the name of God – forget everything else – Vairagya.
Whirlwind of Mind
One of the main tasks on the Path of Bhakti is to glorify the glories of the Lord in countless ways. Some folk read the saga of his vitality. Some sing songs like bhajans. Yet, others sing hymns.
The feelings of the pure devotees live in God, God’s presence will encircle God’s devotees and they achieve great dignity and bliss by enlightening one another and reciting about God.
God is considered beyond attributes and the reach of mind and word. However, on the Path of Bhakti, the Lord is also the supreme teacher and is considered to be the embodiment of all virtuous qualities, Kalyana-gunas.
By concentrating the mind on the attributes of the Lord, described in thousands of names, the devotee has the opportunity to constantly concentrate on the Lord.
For example, the meaning of chanting Vishnu Sahasranam is explained here:
Each of the thousand names is enormous of implication and cites to one special guna (quality, standard, characteristic ) of Paramatma. These names stimulate a feeling of relationship with the Lord. The meanings of the names give us an understanding and depth of God because there is a deep connection between the name and the names.
The need for regular cleansing of our body to maintain hygiene and good health is recognized by everyone. But with the busy nature of today’s world, we don’t see our minds the same way we see our bodies. As a consequence, the need to keep our mind pure is not appreciated … Prayers are a means to purify the mind when chanted with sincerity and devotion.
Similar are the advantages of chanting the sahasranama of any God such as Lalita sahasranama and so on.
It’s necessary? This is one of the many paths on the path of devotion. Each devotee can choose his technique according to his inclination and ability.
Chanting them is one of the most common practices in many Hindu families. It has been present for centuries and continues in tradition. They have a soothing impact on the psyche.
It is also one of the recommended practices of Adi Shankara in his Bhaja Govinda, which is regarded as a beginner’s treatise for many Vedanta disciples. This verse covers the synthesis of Bhakti, Satsang and Mercy.
Vocalize the Gita. Say a thousand names of the Lord. Meditate constantly on Shripati. Spend time with good company. Give your wealth to the weak and needy.
From my point of view, everyone can chant Vishnu Sahasranamam, regardless of religion, caste, gender or economic status. Castes and religions were created by humans, not God!!
Lord Vishnu is beyond this caste and religion because He is Para-Brahman, who is untouched by such materialistic things.
Lord Vishnu is Bhakta Vatsal, that is, one who always saves His devotees and has the greatest love for His devotees.
That is why He ran from His abode of Vaikunta to save the Elephant named Gajendra from the crocodile and gave Moksha to the Elephant.
Naama (Names) and Rupa (Forms) are for sentient beings, not for God.

Divisional charts are the finer divisions of Rashi which tell you details of the native’s horoscope out of which D-60 Shastiamsa is the more important divisional chart as Maharishi Parashar has described this chart by giving a score of 4.5/5 which is very important to look at when compared to Navansh with a score of 4/5. This shows the importance of the chart.
In Shastiamsa, there are a total of 60 deities and every deity has got it’s own agenda and effects to give.
In each sign and house combined produces different results and karmic pattern based on the energy and quality of the deity involved.
So, there’s a very small part of which is explained in BPHS (Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra) which is written by different writers and publishers namely Khemraj Publications, Ranjan Publications so you will find a single page where there are names written for each deity and the effect it carries.
But, there’s no complete information or book on it so we have to do reverse engineering so as to how it’s working in the charts.
Now, the first deity of D60 Shastiamsa chart is GHORA. GHORA – It means something which is on an extreme level/something that is extreme.
So, any planet which has occupied GHORA Shastiamsa – the significations assigned to the planet – you will take it to extreme level ie either it is more than that of normal or less than that of normal but not at the normal level.
Point to remember is that the Lagna occupied by D-60 changes every 2 minutes so make sure that the time of birth is correct/rectified.
For example, there was one chart in which the Lagna rising was in Ghora with Venus placed in it and the sign occupied was Scorpio – so had asked him one question to rectify D-60 that ‘In your married life, how extreme are the relations with spouse regarding sexual matters’ because Venus is spouse and ` being the sign of sexuality with the energy of GHORA.
The reply he gave was – “there’s no contact with spouse regarding sexual matters for more than 5 years” so as you can see EXTREME – either it’s too much or none.
Sun in Aries in Shastiamsa of GHORA – Father of the native will be related to government and native will be very violent and proudy as well and if it is in 6th House in sign of Libra then native will face severe problems related to wife from government.
Now let suppose, if the Lagna of D60 falls in the division of GHORA – the whole personality of the native will go to EXTREME but if you mix the sign and planet placed in there – it will give you a crystal clear picture because D-60 being a 2 minute chart is capable enough to throw precise predictions which can hardly go wrong because if you are able to figure out planets in D-60, their energy of deities along with using the sequence of divisional charts which are mainly D1, D9, D10 (if you wish to look career of the native) , D12 & D60 – this sequence is what you follow then you can rectify the birth time in a second.
