I have a couple of remedies for you:
1) Personally go and clean the steps of any temple for 9 days. Remeber do not deploy people, you have to clean.
2) Do not spread any rumours about anybody.
3) Do not question logics in religious customs / beleifs in anybody’s family / religion.
4) Try to help father / father like people with money etc.
