Hi, I am going through the basic course (Astrology Essentials) recording currently and had a question related to Panchang.
Every aspect of Panchang (Tithi,Yoga, Nakshtra etc) has two aspects when it come to calcuation.
One is to calculate based on pure degrees for example Tithi will be distance between Moon and Sun. It changes with each passing minute so today (13th Sep) at Noon Chaturthi has started but at the Sunrise depending on location of native it was Tritya. So, for purpose of prediction should the Tithi at sunrise should be considered or the current Tithi. I believe it is really important to understand this concept correctly because I was born in evening 7:30 PM and the software show the panchang tithi to be shashti but on sunrise the Tithi was Panchami (actually Basant Panchmi).
Should I be considered as Panchami born or Shashti born?
And is this concept applicable to all aspects of panchang i.e Nakshtra, Karna, Yoga at sunrise of particular place will be effective till sunrise next day?

Hi, Whatever you are writing and thinking is correct. Suppose in the morning tithi is saptmi and is till 11:40 am. Then any child born on or after 11:40 am will be Asthmi . you can check on Jhora software also , it works perfectly fine and when tithi ends it changes the tithi even on the same day.

I don’t think you understood the question.. In my case all effects are of Panchami tithi not Shasthi … Even though the software is showing as Shasthi
So, just trying to confirm if it is applicable for all and that’s how it works??

yes u r correct.
Tithi shows emotions, so check ur emotions for 15 days better to write it in a diary for cross checking then u know which tithi is correct
for clients when u have doubt ask the questions related to emotions of both tithi
or u can check in more than 3 software
