Lagna/12th house has to be afflicted with connection with the 6th/8th lord along with afflicted Mercury.
Navansh will rise with 5th/6th/8th house of the Rashi and Navansh Lagna with have the 6th or 8th lord.
Also check if the lagan lord is in Mrityu bhag.
