Benefic retro planets are not considered as good. But malefic planets in retro and debilitated do good as they get cheshtha bal.
Ma’am, the answer to this question is basically a full course done by sir over a number of hours………. apart from writing a full book on it over a period of 2 years…….. 🙂
Basically retro is one attribute of a planet, and exalted/debilitated is a totally different and unrelated attribute. I will also say that benefic/malefic is another attribute because benefic doesn’t mean good and malefic doesn’t mean bad… it depends on the context. All attributes have to be combined for the prediction.
However to give a really broad and generic answer:
Debilitated retro planet = hidden genius and becomes genius by sheer hardwork, if others start a race from 0 then this person starts from -100 but still wins, person has some “unacceptable” weirdness;
Exalted retro planet = effortless / natural genius (past life hardwork), amazing intuition in that area, person has some “unique and desirable” weirdness;
Benefic retro = generally easier to handle than malefic retro, results (good/bad) are slightly softer and somewhat easier to change.
