Mutual conjunction of planets has more impact.
You haven’t mentioned the planets but as an eg: Moon might be getting influenced by Saturn even when it is 20+ degrees away from it, but saturn will be influenced by moon only when moon falls in saturn’s orb of influence.

Probably i didn't put it up properly. As long as the planet is in good dignity the aspects of the planet will also be considered good irrespective of the sign it's aspecting.

Retrogression adds additional strength (part of shadbal) to any planet (depending on degree of retrogression). When a debilitated planet becomes retrograded it becomes stubborn and persistant. This is helpful only if it’s a functional benefic.
